Small Business Strategy: Outsourced Marketing

For small to mid-sized businesses who don’t have in-house marketing capability, and especially for solopreneurs, I have one word of advice:  outsource!

Focus on your core competency, and find the right professionals to take your marketing to the next level.

There is only one of you, only 24 hours in a day, and you need to be thinking more strategically about your business and how to use your time most effectively.

Here are the benefits to outsourcing your marketing:  it allows you to laser-focus on your strengths, gain instant access to resources not available internally, free up internal resources for other purposes, and gain access to to top tier talent.

There is something about the entrepreneur who wants to do everything him or herself.  Resist that temptation!  Find someone who will work to understand your business drivers, your market, and your customers, and who will implement practical solutions that drive tangible results.  Bottom line:  the name of the game is maximizing the return on investment on your most important resource…your time!
